NOTD: L'oreal Club Prive
This is one of the newer colors from L'oreal and I believe it was released with their spring collection. I've been looking for a good mint green color after my bad experience with Essie Turquoise and Caicos, and after I saw this at the drugstore, I had to pick it up. I really love the color! It's a turquoise/minty green color, but more on the blue side. The finish is more like a jelly finish, which I've never used before, but I like it. I was surprised that it looked so glossy with no top coat. I love this color for spring!
The application on the other hand, was a mess. Not as bad as the Essie polish, but it was still difficult. I've never used L'oreal nail polish before so I wasn't sure how the application would be. The brush is quite stiff and narrow, so it doesn't cover much of the nail. It was hard to apply. Even when I didn't wipe any excess polish off of the brush, I felt like it didn't apply much polish on the nail. It was opaque in two coats, but the initial application was very streaky. When I applied the 2nd coat it was a little sticky and I found it hard to make it look smooth.
So I guess I'm still on the hunt for a good mint green nail polish! Any suggestions?

NOTD China Glaze- Agro
This is the other color I bought from the Capitol Colors collection from China Glaze. Agro is a really pretty olive green color with gold shimmer. This color looks amazing in sunlight, when you can really see the shimmer.
The formulation on this was great. The swatch you see above is only one coat, so this polish is very opaque. This polish was a little thicker than Fast Track so the application wasn't as smooth. But because it was so opaque in one coat, I had to be really careful applying it. It lasted quite a long time on my nails. I wore this to The Hunger Games premier and it lasted a good 5-6 days without chipping.
I'm really beginning to like China Glaze nail polishes! Are there any other good colors you'd recommend?

NOTD: China Glaze Fast Track
When the China Glaze Capitol Colors collection was released, I picked up two colors: Agro and Fast Track. I had never used China Glaze nail polish before, but I have to say I'm really impressed with the quality and application!
Fast Track is a really pretty neutral beige color with lots of gold shimmer, which looks amazing in sunlight!. As soon as I saw the swatches for the collection I knew I had to buy this color. It's a great neutral color and it's work-appropriate (compared to some of the other really bright ones from this collection.) Application was nice! This polish was more sheer compared to Agro so I used two coats here to build the opacity.
Anyone else get polished from The Hunger Games collection? What did you think?

NOTD: Sephora by OPI Run With It!
This is actually one of the first nail polishes I ever bought from Sephora. This is more of a re-discovered color because it's been so long since I've worn it last. When I first bought this I wasn't too fond of the shade. I only wore it a couple of times and never touched it again until now. I wanted to wear a nice neutral color that was appropriate for the season so I decided to give this another try. I'm not sure why I never liked this color before, but I'm completely in love with this nail polish now. It's a soft grey with gold shimmer and I think it's a really nice neutral shade.
Application was alright. The first coat was pretty streaky, but it was nice and opaque with two coats. I'm not sure if this is available online anymore (I didn't see it on the Sephora website), but I did see it in store the other day which is what inspired me to dig this up from my collection. Expect more NOTD posts in the near future. I've got about 3 new nail polishes I'm looking forward to trying out :)

NOTD: OPI Russian Navy
I think this is the first navy blue nail polish that I've ever bought. I had originally intended to buy Yoga-ta Get This Blue which is a little brighter, but when I saw this one in the bottle I thought it looked amazing. It's navy blue with purple shimmer. It looks purple to me in the bottle, but when applied it's a dark navy color. In the light you can see the purple coming through. The application was nice, and even without a top coat, it has a very nice glossy finish. I really love this color!

NOTD: Sephora by OPI How Cute is That?
I'm currently wearing the Sephors by OPI nail polish and I love the color! It's a really pretty pinky coral color. For some reason the color looks much duller in the photo than it does in real life, but I tried to get the best picture I could. The application took two coats and was fairly minimal on the streaking. I'll definitely be wearing this color again and I think it's prefect for summer. Retails for $9.50 at Sephora.

NOTD: Essie Turquoise and Caicos
So...there is definitely a love-hate relationship with this nail polish. This color was really hyped on Youtube as a great summer color, and I've been wanting to try a mint green nail polish for a while now. I got this while Essie was still on sale at Longs so I got it for about $6.
I was so disappointed with this one! I loved the other Essie nail polish I got so I thought this one would be similar but the formula was just SO hard to work with. Maybe it's just that I'm not good at applying nail polish in the first place, but the consistency was quite runny and very streaky when applied on my nails. I used the usual 2 coats and still found it patchy and streaky as you can see in the picture. I used 3 coats on the ones that looked really bad, but just stuck with two on the rest since I don't plan on wearing this for long.
I love the color and it has the same glossy finish as the other Essie polish I have, which is the only good things I can say about this. I probably won't be using this again. Anyone have suggestions for another mint green nail polish?

NOTD: Essie- Damsel in a Dress
This was the first Essie nail polish I bought. They recently started carrying it st Target, but I actually got this 20% off at Longs which also has Essie now.
At first glance in the bottle it doesn't really look like anything special (picture doesn't really so it justice =/), but this is a really unique color. Side-by-side in the bottle it looks a lot like OPI's Meet Me on the Star Ferry, but that one is much more shimmery. Damsel in a Dress has subtle shimmer, and is more purple-toned. In some lights it look really purple-ish but in others it looks more burgundy. Very unique and I loved the nice and glossy finish (with no top coat). I couldn't stop looking at my nails! The application could've been better. I found the formula to be quite thick and a little hard to apply especially with the thin brush. Other than that, this is a really pretty color!

NOTD: OPI Meet Me on the Star Ferry
In the bottle this color is really dark and it almost looks brown to me. The formula is quite think and the application was a bit streaky, but it came out nice, streak-free and opaque after 2 coats. It looks dark purple with a pinkish tone if you look at it in the light. Overall I really love this color and I will probably buy another bottle of this

NOTD: OPI Princesses Rule!
OPI- Princesses Rule! I wasn't crazy about this nail polish when I first put it on, but it's growing on me. It's a bright pale pink with tons of micro-glitter. The picture above is taken under direct sunlight, after a whole week since I first applied it.
Furthermore, I had a very uneventful day at the beach :( No swimming signs were posted and so were the flags, so we couldn't go in the water because of the high surf. But I still got a tan so I'm satisfied. Will go again on Friday if the weather gets better.
